PBF Scout is designed as a narrow smart-glasses client for a user-controlled intelligence plane.

Mentra community route

When the Mentra miniapp is running, session events travel through MentraOS Cloud to the PBF Scout gateway. The gateway exposes only approved scouting operations and does not hold Hermes credentials or long-term agent memory.

Media

Raw media is not retained by default. A scouting request captures one deliberate frame for in-memory analysis. Evidence storage requires a separate operator action and remains subject to operator-managed retention.

Agent actions

Hermes and local model routes operate in the trusted control plane. Memory writes, Discord messages, listings, purchases, and other consequential actions require preview and confirmation.

Telemetry

Operational telemetry is limited to route, engine, lifecycle state, latency, and outcome metadata. It must not contain transcripts, prompts, images, audio, access tokens, or private network identifiers.
